Australian Communications Alliance Conference - Broadband and Beyond
Jointly hosted by the Australian Communications Alliance and Telstra Wholesale, this inaugural event was held at the Shangri La Hotel Sydney in March 2008.
The two day conference brought together international thought-leaders to provide a global perspective on the changes that are influencing the future of the telecommunication industry. This major international conference canvassed the views of business leaders, technology visionaries and expert commentators who debated the issues, the challenges and the opportunities generated by a broadband enabled world.
The program included topics on:
- How to prosper in the new broadband world
- How to explore, debate, explain and unravel future trends and business opportunities
- What your customers will want and need in the future
- World's best practice and global trends in broadband services
Legendary Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was the keynote speaker and the program featured the Honourable Senator Stephen Conroy, the recently appointed Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. A host of other local and international speakers provided the largely Australian audience with a robust and global perspective on the converging communications environment.
Sydney's spectacular harbour provided the backdrop for social functions, with the welcome drinks on level 36 of the Shangri La Hotel overlooking the water and the conference dinner was held at the Opera House.
