The Conexion Event Management team is one of our greatest strengths. Our event managers and event co-ordinators work closely with our clients at all terms. We foster a collaborative approach to ensure that while we do the 'heavy lifting' our clients retain confidence that the event is managed according to their needs and specifications. Our support staff include delegate services co-ordinators, exhibition and sponsorship co-ordinators, IT and accounting personnel all of whom share our enthusiasm for the events industry.

Collectively we have many decades of experience managing events around Australia and overseas. We are passionate about our work and dedicated to delivering the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Robyn Johnson - Managing Director
Conexion's founder and Managing Director, Robyn Johnson AMM*AFMEA* CEM*, is one of Australia's foremost event managers, recognised throughout the industry for her professionalism and commitment to excellence. Robyn has managed an impressive portfolio of international and national events over the past twenty years and brings strong operational and financial management experience to the company. Robyn works closely with all our clients from the early planning stages through to the final reporting on the event. Robyn focuses on ensuring that each event is managed to meet its objectives and exceed the expectations of our clients. Robyn is a regular presenter at Meetings and Events Australia educational seminars and has taught event management to students at leading tertiary institutions, including the University of New South Wales. Event Managers at Conexion receive personalised training and mentoring from Robyn to ensure that they are leaders in their field.
Laurie Patton - Executive Chairman
Our Executive Chairman, Laurie Patton, is a media, IT and events executive with wide-ranging contacts in business, government and the community. Laurie brings high level marketing expertise and government relations experience to Conexion and works with our clients to help create strategic alliances with key stakeholders. Laurie is Executive Director of the Television Sydney Foundation; formed to support program production for TVS, Sydney's new free-to-air community television station, which he created on behalf of its major stakeholder the University of Western Sydney. He is also a non-executive director of the Heart Foundation of Australia (NSW Division) and chairs the Foundation's national fundraising committee. Laurie holds a Master of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia.
Alison Manning - Event Manager
Alison is an accomplished Event Manager with specialist public sector and association experience. She is committed to delivering profitable and successful events and focuses on building lasting and trusted relationships with her clients and their committees. Alison's broad background in events from outdoor sports, fundraisers, functions and special events through to conferences and seminars covers a wide range of skill sets. Alison has worked on events with local councils, state and national agencies including the Department of Ageing, Disability & Home Care, City of Sydney and more recently she has managed a series of events for The International Association of Pediatric Dentistry, Australian Society of Endodontology, Australian Subscription Television & Radio Association (ASTRA), Australian Hearing, Food Media Club of Australia, Concord Hospital and ACI - The Financial Market Association.
Leticia Alvarez - Sponsorship Manager
Leticia has joined Conexion as a Sponsorship Manager. She works closely with client Organising Committees and Event Management teams, to develop and manage sponsorship and exhibition strategies, designed to raise funds for our events. Leticia has been working in the industry for more than five years and as a result, understands the key elements in developing and creating successful events. With a background in Graphic Design and Marketing, Leticia has a strong understanding of brand awareness, a priority to any Sponsors or Exhibitor. These skills help Conexion ensure that all sponsor and exhibitor expectations are met and clients needs are looked after throughout the development of their events.
